About Me
My Background
I was born and raised in the beautiful "flatwoods" of Gilchrist county to a farm and ranch family. In 2000 the Lord blessed me when I was able to marry my best friend & beautiful wife Shauna. 2 years later God blessed me again when our son John was born. John has graduated college and now works as a financial advisor in Newberry, Florida.
From as young as I can remember I've been a part of farming row crops (squash, watermelons, bell pepper), managing livestock, hunting deer & turkey, fishing, rodeoing where I competed as a tiedown and team roper and running hounds for deer and hogs. Many of the messages that I preach have came to me while I have been working in a cow pen on the back of a horse or sitting in the cab of a tractor. These places and messages are what make me who I am and how God speaks to me and reveals his word. I live a simple life and take pride in all God has given me to steward over. I love everything that goes with the outdoor and farm way of life. I love to see how God's word comes to life before me in each and every daily activity and how his calling on my life is revealed.
My Faith and Spiritual Background
I accepted Christ as my Lord and savior when I was 26 years old, 3 years later I heard the call to preach the Gospel so I surrendered to ministry full time in 2009. I have served God willfully in various roles in the church from being a dedicated member all the way to Sr Pastor. I have always had an evangelistic heart and believe completely in the command of the Great Commission to "Go and make Disciples" so after serving the local church for 15 years I felt God calling me to step out into full time evangelism to carry the gospel to those who do not have a church and to revive the local church with the word of God. I believe that now is the time for revival in the local church to live and be excited for what God has done for us and in us. It will be through this revival that we will will come closer to Jesus in a deeper and more intimate personal relationship that will lead us to be his "hands and feet" to be a reflection of his love, mercy and grace to all people we come in contact with.
What I Believe
I believe that the Bible is the Inspired, Inerrant, and Infallible Word of God. It is the preaching of this book that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin and draws men to Jesus Christ. I firmly believe that Jesus Christ is the perfect lamb of God who was born of virgin birth, lived a sinless life, was crucified on the cross, died, was buried and on the third day rose again. I believe that the Bible teaches us that ALL have sinned and come short of the Glory of God according to Romans 3:23. The only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ and His shed blood. There is a wonderful 3 step plan of Salvation referred to as the ABC's. It is a simple plan, all you have to do is Admit that you are a sinner, Believe that Jesus Christ died for you and Confess your sins in a prayer of repentance and you WILL be saved.
